Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) is responding to significant wildfires that occurred in eastern Washington in 2023—the Gray Fire, which started near Medical Lake and the Oregon Road Fire, which started near Elk. MDS, in partnership with Spokane Region Long-Term Recovery Committee, is focusing on new house builds.
